    Maple Hills Orchard is a young apple orchard located in beautiful west central Minnesota between Detroit Lakes and Frazee in the rolling hills of Becker County.  We are a family owned and operated orchard. 

    Our first 100 apple trees were planted in the Spring of 1999 on an existing alfalfa field.  By Spring 2008, we had nearly 1,000 apple trees planted.  Our earliest plantings included Honeycrisp(TM), Haralson/Haralred, Zestar(TM), Stella Minnesota(TM), and several crab apple varieties.   In the Spring of 2007 we planted a promising new Minnesota variety, SweeTango (TM), formerly know as MN 1914.  We also planted an older Wisconsin variety called Wolf River and  several other regional varieties including Honeygold, SnowSweet(TM), and Chestnut Crabs.   Along with apples, we also offer sweet corn, pumpkins, squash, orchard honey, mums, freshly roasted specialty coffee beans & loose leaf tea and other retail items.  We support and promote local and sustainable agriculture as well as fairtrade products.
